clean and Passionate

Each year, those who want to see or participate in clean cycling come to the Caribbean "Vuelta a Cuba", the bicycle tour of Cuba, not only for the competition, but also for the fans' enthusiasm and the beauty of the landscape.
The 2007 champion, Canadian Svein Tuft, was absent when the 33rd edition of this competition began in eastern Baracoa, the first city founded in Cuba by Spanish colonizers (1510).
The 19 teams of 114 cyclists - 14 Cuban as well as German, Mexican, Slovenian, Venezuelan and Dominican teams competing in the overall individual, consistency, mountain and sprint categories were cheered along the Baracoa sea wall at the start of the first stage that covered the 153 kilometres from Baracoa to Guantanamo.
