My name is Arturo Montoto Echevarria. As I am fond of linguistics I discovered that my name and two sornames have meanings. My name is also Noble Bear High Mountai Big House.
Arturo is a Celtic name meaning Noble Bear; Montoto comes from the old Spanish Monteauto and Echevarria is a Basque surname translated Big House.
I was born i the Fenix district in the outskirts of Pinar del Río, It is still there and I like t walk around the area whenever I can.
There was a fine sand on the patio, and whenever it rained, the water wold smooth down the sand and made me want to draw on in. It became my first work area. I started drawing with a small stick, a nall or anything I found. I use to fill that area with drawings and fight with my brothers not to step on it. That is how I discovered my vocation although there was no specific day when I said to myself: "Today I want to be an artist".
