The Flavour of La Ferminia

The Ferminia is a bird found exclusively in the Zapata Swamp on the south coast of Cuba but you can find one Ferminia in the island's capital. This one is not a bird but a luxurious restaurant specializing in Cuban and International cuisine that has attracted the likes of Havana's gourmets for the excellence of its menu and service.
Reading the menu can be a challenge for even the most demanding palate. Let's just imagine a starter salad of smoked salmon with capers and pineapple, followed by a Cuban style breaded lobster as main dish. Or maybe a combination of lobster, shrimps, mussels, fish fillet, chicken and beef with steamed vegetables that makes up the great mixed grill platter of the house. Add your favorite wine from their extensive list and, for desert, a Bourdalux cake or a biscuit glazed with fruits on a chocolate sauce for a memorable meal.
