Niurka Barroso Born and educated in Cuba, she began her career in 1995 as a photographer for Agence-France Presse until 2005, when she moved to Toronto. She is a member of Cuba Artists and Writers Association (UNEAC). Niurka has produced a series of award winning images dealing with humanitarian issues. Her pictures have been exhibited in galleries and arts museums in Cuba and other countries including Spain, France, the United States, Israel, and Canada
