Havana, A Museum On Wheels

Perhaps there are other automobile museums in other countries dedicated to preserving the history of this means of transportation. In Cuba, there are two such places: one is located in the warm, eastern city of Santiago de Cuba and the other is in colonial Old Havana. These museums were built to recall the arrival of the automobile to this country, a fact that took place in 1898. They exhibit cars of many different makes and models, some famous for their original owners like Che's 1960 Chevy.
But the most unusual and striking feature of Cuba's capital city is its exclusive "Museum on Wheels" which can be seen on a daily basis just by standing on any street corner in Havana.
Perhaps you might see a dozen or so of these old vehicles in other Cuban cities but in Havana, this figure is estimated to be over a thousand of these real operating antiques
