CubaPLUS Launched in Havana
Dominic Soave, the founder and publisher of CubaPLUS, officially launched the new magazine with a toast celebrating the friendship between the Cuban and Canadian peoples.
The event was held at the luxurious Club Habana and was attended by Frank Gonzalez, President of the Latin American News Agency Prensa Latina and members of the Editorial Vice-Presidency working with the magazine.
Several officials from the Canadian Embassy in Cuba and the Ministry of Tourism were also present.
Special guests included Dr. Noel González, a heart transplant pioneer in Cuba and Latin America, showman Bobby Carcassés, three time Olympic and world boxing champion Teófilo Stevenson, high jump record holder and Olympic champion Javier Sotomayor, and twice world champion and silver Olympic medalist Ana Fidelia Quirot.
The Ecos Flamenco Company entertained our guests with live music and dancing.
