Rangeland primarily provides EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management) services for facility upgrades, de-bottlenecking and brown roots projects that are highly economical, requiring innovative design and fast-track project execution. Its projects range from $50 million to $100 million CAD.

The President of Rangeland Engineering Limited, Ron Daye, started the company in August 2001 with a staff of two people, Daye, and his long time associate Bill O'Toole, an engineer by trade. Since its inception, Rangeland has experienced growth of 40 to 100% per year.

What makes Rangeland so unique is its approach to overall design. Rangeland uses a high-end design program referred as CAD Works. Most projects begin with drafts that show the client a model plant three-dimensionally. "It means that the whole design - produced with an intelligent program, gives a high level of accuracy and clients are pleased with a lot less rework", says Daye. Rangeland serves both domestic and international markets, with operations across Canada, the U.S. and beyond. Despite the downturn in economy, Rangeland has secured its contracts with service agreements with its long-standing clientele. It has also expanded to areas such as Cuba where, working closely together with Cuban Oil Company CUPET S.A., Rangeland has provided its expertise in the field. The Alberta-based, medium-sized engineering firm has a staff with experience working with someone from Rangeland or come highly recommended.
