La Guabina Ranch
La Guabina Ranch is found in a tranquil atmosphere of mountains, valleys and a sizeable lagoon some 10 kilometres from the city of Pinar del Rio. It is the perfect place to combine a relaxing stay with attractive activities that require mild physical exercise, such as long walks, horseback rides, horse-drawn carriage rides or row boat excursions in the lagoon.
With an extension of about 1,000 hectares, several economic activities are developed at the farm: agriculture, ranching, raising rabbits and fighting cocks; and the most important and emblematic: raising and genetically improving Cuban horses like the Cuban Pinto and Appaloosa.
